Flashback:

November 20, 2004 - Day before the wedding

This should be the day I should have been relaxing all day and getting some beauty sleep.  But NO!  It was raining all day and all I could do is pray for sunshine the next day.

I was planning to check-in to my hotel around lunch time, but because of all the rain, last minute chores and pick-ups were delayed.  First, we had to go to Rockwell to get my shoes, (yes just now I know!), which still did not fit me right! Arghh! Next, I have to get the photos Dino took of us during our prenup pictorial developed for the divider frame.  After that, we went to Edward Teng's shop to get the mannequin for the gown that they told me I should pick-up (If I only knew they'd bring it to the hotel the next day! Arrghh!). Good thing we didn't have to go to Fernwood Gardens to leave the souvenirs and other stuff at one of the waiting rooms.  Our FW coordinator told us it was not a good idea to bring our stuff ahead of time because it might just get lost with all the people around and the weddings.  Lastly, I went back home for some last minute checking of "things to bring" etc.  Before I knew it, it was almost 6pm!   Good thing I called ahead of time that I'll be having a late check-in at the hotel.

Then at last, my brother took me to the Peninsula.  I looked so harassed from all the last minute chores I had to do.  Good thing the reception lady was so nice to upgrade my superior room to the Junior Suite (for a small fraction hehe!) so that by the next day I would not have to change rooms.  (I booked for a superior room for the the first day then the Junior Suite for the wedding day).  Aahh!  She was sent from above, very courteous, and helpful.  Somehow I felt better, because at last I'll be able to relax!

At the room, I waited for Gemma to arrive.  She'll be my room mate for the night.  So I turned on the TV and fixed my stuff.  I was so "hyper" I couldn't stop moving inside the room, I just could not relax and rest.  At last Gem came with Ann and the PIZZA!  Yummy!  While having dinner we had a little chat.  Gem and Ann noticed that I looked so harassed so she called the masseuse to give me a well deserved massage after dinner.  Was it the best ever massage I ever had!  After the massage I just wanted to go to sleep.  But I just can't, not yet.  I still have to prepare my personal wedding vows.  I should have done it days or weeks before but I just couldn't get myself to start -  I didn't know where to start.  At the desk I started to make drafts and looking at some sample vows for inspiration.  Gem came to my side and said she has to do her speech too.  With a herbal tea by our side, which Gem prepared, we started writing.  She stayed at the living area so that I would not see what she wrote.

It was 12mn before we called it a night.  Of course we did not sleep right away.  We had our talk in bed,  I thanked her for coming - she was my angel.  I wouldn't know what to do if she wasn't there.  After that we thanked God for a wonderful day and prayed for a rain free Sunday.
