Our
Christian Wedding was held last November 21, 2004 at the Fernwood
Gardens.
We
would like to thank all the people who made our wedding beautiful and
memorable:
To Pastor Joey Pagadora for making our
wedding extra special. To Pastor David Sumrall for the wonderful
talks we had, you are a blessing from God. To our families and
friends, for sharing with us this joyous occasion. To our beloved
Godparents, who have taken their time to share their wisdom and
guidance. And most importantly, to the Lord our God for giving us
this special day, and for all His blessings and love for us.
It is
with great joy that we share this special day through this web site, not
only with our families and friends but to the soon-to-wed couples who
are looking for ideas and inspiration.
Our
Journey to Bliss!
We
decided to get married after 8 years of being together. Drew was
already working in Nueva Ecija as a resident doctor. I was having
my medicine internship at Makati Medical Center. There was no
elaborately planned or romantic wedding proposal. After 8 years, I
guess we just knew it was time, maybe because we have talked about it so
many times or maybe it was just our situation at that time - being tied
to the hospital and all. But don't think I'm not the romantic
type. I'm like any other girl who wants to be surprised by her one
and only with a romantic wedding proposal that she'll remember for the
rest of her lives and tell over and over again to her friends, family
and someday kids! In fairness to Drew, he did make up for it - and
was it unforgettable! (Click on Our Story for the details)
Planning and preparation for our wedding took almost a year. I
started by looking for new trends and ideas from various wedding
magazines my mom and I have bought and collected. My favorite was
Metro Wedding Magazine. Their articles, advices, and ideas were
very helpful in my decisions.
Being
the only girl in my family, and the first to get married, I didn't have
much knowledge on how to go about planning for a wedding. So I
turned to the internet for much needed information. This was were
I found W@W (WeddingsAtWork).
A website made especially for me - and for other soon-to-wed
brides/grooms. I joined their e-group and became a bonafide W@Wie. Finally, a
group where I could talk about everything related to wedding.
Because sometimes, it gets to the point that everything that comes out
of your mouth is wedding related which could make the people around you
(even your closest friend) totally left out.
We
went to so many wedding expos that I've lost count, but it was worth it.
The best one is the Wedding Expo by Themes and Motifs. I think we
went there 3 times before our wedding. Where else can we find
almost all the suppliers in one roof? The discounts and prizes
were great. We even won minor prizes during the event - a box of
ensaymada from Goldilocks and a whitening toothpaste from one of the
dentist exhibit. That's where we also met other fellow W@Wies and even became a
part of the opening ceremony of the Expo and featured at MOD with the
other W@Wies.
It was
truly a journey! It was worth all the headaches and worries!
All that preparations for a few hours of Perfect Bliss! And I
would gladly do it all over again.
